The Rules Revisited I’ve dated countless women and it has always amazed me how little they know about men. If nothing else, this blog is an outlet for voicing my astonishment at the typical female’s ignorance of the male mindset. At most, it is a reliable source of advice for women who want to improve their chances with the opposite sex. Sunday, February 17, Female Game for Women in Their 30s [This is the third of a three-part series that describes how to focus your dating efforts in your teens, twenties and thirties.
Making yourself as attractive as possible Making yourself approachable Filtering out the men that just want to have sex with you from the men that want to date you While these general stages apply to all women, a woman’s age, experience and eligibility should factor heavily into her approach to dating if she wants to eventually find a man to settle down with. Therefore, various aspects of these three stages – or the components of each one – are more or less important at different times in a woman’s life.
As a girl in your thirties, you are past or moving out of your most eligible years, and should adapt your game accordingly. Other women will get most – if not all – of the “easy” attention from men, so you need to narrow your focus and seek attention only from the men that matter. In order to be effective, you need to be honest with yourself and filter out the men who will waste your time – even when you are tempted by your emotions, pride or biology to do otherwise. Your efforts should remain focused on all three stages of female game, which you should achieve in the following ways: Recognize that something is wrong.

All that that set of labels has to do with, is to identify someone simultaneously by their sex, and by the general kind of relationship that you have with them. If you are spending time and energy with them, but have no interest in them being any sort of a mate, then they are just called “friend.

When I was in your situation at about the same age I entered into therapy to get some help with the situation. I advise you do the same. In my situation, my family hated my future dh because seriously of his hair color and profession teacher. Only a decade later did I figure out that one of my parents assumed dh was part black and that was also a main reason. I’m more African than my dh, ha. Anyhow, turned out there were real psychological problems with my family.
I also realized the friends I made consistently hated the boyfriends my family loved and vice versa. My family’s values were not mine. You have to parse out the truth, but either way, who you date is up to you, and you need healthy boundaries with your family.
My parents have a long track record of keeping their opinions about our boyfriends to themselves, even when they really didn’t like who we were with and to be fair, my sisters and I dated some real duds over the years but no one “dangerous”.
